We’re so excited to our 2nd family trip!

My husband and I have thought about this trip for a very long time and finally it going to happen very soon. Even though we are not going to the place where we first planned, but the place that we’ve decided to go to is going to be more fun and exciting. We already had our itinerary and we will take the scenic route for extra fun and adventurous trip. My husband and I have great anticipation for our 2011 escapade. There are so many things to look forward to when we get to our destination and we will take advantage of it because we don’t know when we can go back there. Not soon, that’s for sure. Road trip is definitely fun especially when you love nature.

My husband gave me all the links that I should read so I will know what to expect on the road and the attractions that we will be seeing. I was reading and article about “Driving from San Diego to ….” And I had butterflies in my stomach while reading it. This will be my first long road trip here in America, upon reading the article has made me really excited to get started with our trip. It gave me an idea on what to see when we take the scenic route and gave us information on where to stop for refreshments, gas, and restroom, shopping for souvenirs, landmarks and Inn’s where we can rest for a night. Fun, fun, fun! I will surely take a lot of pictures and share it to all of YOU.

Recommending us to be insured

Life Insurance is a must for some people, especially here in America. I have some friends and relatives who have life insurance and they’re recommending me to have one too. When my aunt’s spouse died from cancer she was saddened by it because she won’t be able to see her husband anymore. However, her husband’s death helped her pay their debts and a few months after she buried her husband, she became debt free. She invested some of her money. She bought a couple of properties back in the Philippines. That’s few of the reasons why my aunt recommended me to have life insurance.

My husband and I are considering the idea of getting ourselves insured with life insurance. We started looking for the cheapest life insurance online. First, we checked for some rates through insurance quote online, and then we called an agent for further inquiries and evaluation. But because we were so tight with our budget at that time we weren’t able to proceed with our documents. We’re still hoping to get it in the future, hopefully it’ll be soon.

Hunting for jobs

I really miss going to work and meet different people like I used to. I feel like I want to submit a resume online in hopes of getting a job. I was at the beyond dot com website and was looking for a job that suits my qualifications. Imagine the power engineer jobs are the top 10 out of 7,439 jobs listed in that website. Unfortunately, I don’t belong to that field because I have no knowledge when it comes to engineering stuff. I wonder if my cousin who is an engineer would be interested and submit an application. Who knows if he’s hired then he can stay here in America. I’ll have to refer him to this site since he was looking for a better job.

I need to renew my California ID

I received a letter today from my very important application and I was told that I need to bring my California ID with me during my interview. Bummer! When I checked my state ID it was already expired, so I have to renew it as soon as possible. I didn’t know how much it would cost me so I did a little research about it and I found very useful information. My husband thought that I can renew my ID online. However, as I read the article further down, it says “Unfortunately, you can’t renew a state ID card online or by mail; you must renew in person. So, it’s better to renew on time before you have an expired ID”. So, I have to go to the DMV office tomorrow and get this process done.

To renew your CA ID Card, follow these steps:

  1. Make an appointment at a CA DMV office; this is not required but is highly recommended so you don’t have to wait.
  2. Get and complete Form DL 44 at the DMV.
  3. If you’re a teen, bring both parents to sign the form (you may also get it ahead of time and have them sign). Teens with divorced parents must have both their signatures if they have joint custody.
  4. Get your picture taken.
  5. Provide a thumbprint.
  6. Make sure your address is current and correct.
  7. Pay the $26 renew ID fee. (It’s free for seniors and reduced to $7 for those on public assistance).

Friendly nurses

Yesterday afternoon was my daughter’s first appointment since she was discharged from the hospital about 6 days ago. I think my daughter got used to seeing people wearing nursing uniforms because whenever she sees a person wearing scrubs or cherokee medical uniform she’ll point to her wound and say “booboos” at the same time. Well, for those people who don’t know that my daughter was hospitalized a few weeks ago, she accidentally burned her foot on our space heater and she was admitted in the hospital for about a week.

There were days and nights when I wasn’t there for my daughter, the nurses took care of her on my behalf. She’s with the nurses at the nursing station most of the time. Most of the nurses and some patients adored my daughter because she makes them smile. She likes to be held. One time the nurse was holding her and my daughter hugged her while rubbing on her back, the nurse then asked me why she is doing that. I jokingly said “you probably have 100 cotton scrubs uniform and she loves the texture of your clothes” and we all laughed. Seriously, I told her, that’s her way of saying I love you. Then the nurse said “aawwwww, she’s a sweet baby”.

Moving or relocating?

When it comes to moving from one city or state to another, it can really get expensive, stressful and a big hassle and no one really likes to move anyways. The first thing that you need worry about is making sure all your furnishings and belongings get to the new place safely and in one piece. And renting a big bulky truck can be costly and time consuming too. Why not make your life easier by renting the ReloCube, u-pack version of the moving pod. They measure 6’3″ x 7’ x 8’4″ (LWH) sit firmly on the ground for simple loading and unloading, are water-proof to keep your personal belongings dry and safe, and can easily fit perfectly in a standard sized parking space. You can rent as many ReloCubes as you want and only pay for what you use – an option you won’t find with most moving pods services. Got a big moving job? No problem, just rent as many u-pack portable storage units as you need to get the job done. Take as long as you need to load your items into the portable storage units and just let them know when your ready for delivery to your new home. U-pack portable storage units are owned by ABF Freight systems, America’s most trusted motor carrier. The website can provide you with a free moving quote.

Dating and mating

It was getting late when we went to a safari tour. We caught the beautiful sunset while we were touring inside the wild animal park. These were few of the scenarios I caught while on tour. Two lovers’s dating and mating. LOL! Obviously I’m not talking about humans but rather, animal’s who are in love. I just thought of sharing these photos to all my visitors.

What to Expect When Travelling for the Holidays

Thanks for the guest post by Esteban Vinson

Each year it is the same thing, you hear the reports on the nightly news about people trying to either fly or drive from one place to another at the holidays. The airports will have long delays due to weather conditions or just sheer volume. With the amount of people that are trying to fly out, they cannot keep up the pace. The roads become parking lots with cars trying to go from here to there. You can expect this same thing unless you plan wisely.

You should know that most people will try to either fly out within one or two days of the holiday and then fly back again in the same time frame. If you want to avoid the crowds, try flying out three or four days ahead and back again the same. The same holds true if you are driving, most of the crowds on the roads will be a day or two ahead and even on the holiday itself. Planning your trip ahead of time and allowing yourself more time, will save you the travel time. But nothing can replace the security of setting your home alarm by http://www.home-alarm-systems.com/.

No matter what means you take to get where you want to go, you will find crowds, being prepared for anything is in your best interest. Expect delays at airports, expect traffic on the roads and the trains will be no better. If you expect it, you can better prepare. Take along snacks with you and games to play.

She’s not scared

This scene took place before my daughter go into a serious accident. We were strolling in the Plaza Bonita mall at that time and my husband told me to take my daughter for a ride. I don’t know what’s that called but it was fun. I was worried at first because I don’t know how to drive but it was easier than I thought. I thought I will faint after driving in circular motion for 5 minutes. Gladly I was OK. As I was driving they play some nursery rhyme and my daughter was singing along with it since she was familiar with some of the songs.

Reuse

We don’t have a home stereo system but we have home speakers. My husband hooked our TV into our home speakers to help to increase the volume of our TV up. We used to have a home stereo but since we never use it, it had gotten to a point where it damaged the inside part of the stereo and so my husband decided to get rid of it. He gave it to our neighbor’s friend. My husband told them that it’s not working but they took it still. I don’t know where they are going to use it for since it’s not working anymore. But hey, every man’s trash can be someone else’s treasure.
