By the first week of February we probably have our new wide screen HDTV mounted on the wall. We won’t get rid of our old TV, we will put it in our children’s bedroom so they can still watch their favorite educational shows whenever they want to, while mommy and daddy watches the movies we like through the wide screen HDTV. We have to mount it on the wall to avoid our kids from messing with it. Because our old TV has a lot of scratches and crayons written around the screen by our kids and we don’t want that to happen into our new TV. We will have to put it out of their reach so they can’t mess it up.

Mt. Palomar
I feel like flying!!!
This was another unplanned trip to the mountain. My husband drove us up in the Mt. Palomar yesterday. It was over 5000 feet when we saw some snow but it was already melting. It was freezing cold and we didn’t take winter coats with us because our plan was to go to the Wild Animal Park. But anyway, it was fun to see this beautiful view of the mountains. Our eyes need some therapy and that is to see far distant once in a while. But my ears were popping as we drove at the peak. We can actually see the San Diego downtown and Coronado Bridge but they’re like little dots. What a wonderful world!
Dora the Explorer

I guess that my favorite educational show for kids that comes on these days would have to be Dora the Explorer. I have to admit that the first time that I saw this show on satellite tv that we got after seeing this Cable TV comparison, I was not impressed. I really did not understand why my daughter liked it so much. However, as time went by, I watched more episodes with her. The more that I watched, the more I learned about the Spanish language. My daughter was learning it as well. That is a great thing to learn. Our culture here is now filled with people who are speaking Spanish and this is a great show to help our youth learn more about it.
The reason that I like the show so much is the fact that it is a teaching show in disguise. I was not impressed in the beginning because it just did not seem like a show that would teach my daughter anything. Now I know different. I am so glad that I gave this show a chance. I now even recommend it to my students at school. They love it just as much as I do.
Thinking about Vacation
My husband and I have already talked about our vacation for this year and we’ve already decided where we will be heading soon. I won’t say any detail about our vacation yet because we’re still waiting for our tax refund to be electronically deposited into our account. That’s exciting. Where do you think we will be going early this year? Could it be somewhere in South Carolina and accommodate at the comfortable and economical hotels like Myrtle Beach hotel and Myrtle Beach best hotels? Or could it be somewhere in Tennessee where I can reunite with my cousin or could it be somewhere in here California? I’m excited and I won’t tell you though, not untill everything is confirmed. I hope our plan will go smoothly so we will all be happy.
Speaking of Myrtle Beach, I was looking at the photo gallery and rates of Myrtle Beach Horizon resort at http://www.horizonmyrtlebeach.com/. They have the nicest hotel and the amenities are great. This is really a great place and vacation spot for our family vacation. I would love to stay in this hotel in the future, when we get the chance to visit South Carolina. Someday!
