From a Trainee to a Performer

When I was a child, I and my friends used to have role playing of being a family in a cute little house we’ve made. Though we are only acting, yet it was very enjoyable and funny. Remembering those memories makes me smile every now and then. Acting is exciting; we can create a new character of our own that we usually reminisce when we were kids. Watching a role play on a stage also excites me when an emotional drama and thrilling scenes. It is usually the part where audience will have a standing ovation. Through those actors and actresses, watching may never be that electrifying.

I guess it might be the reason why people would want to enhance their talent through an acting audition and by enrolling on any acting workshop first before entering on a proper audition to be recognized as a best performer in the future. In that way they will have a personal acting coach who will be assisting and giving techniques on how to work on different characters. A total personality will not be complete without a set of wardrobe for an effective presentation. What we wear tells much about what we are, what more if we’re wearing a uniform? It tells about the job we do and the kind of environment we are exposed to. On scrubs for example, those are the ones nurses others working in the medical field wears. Scrubs are especially designed to make their jobs much easier. It is lose-fitting and very comfortable, thus allows a nurse to freely move around. The nice thing with nursing uniforms is that they are no longer boring and dull nowadays. Marcus scrubs for instance; they have a wide variety of designs and prints. It’s cool to see nurses wear animal prints; it means a friendlier hospital ambiance.

Talking about their dream job

My children and I were coming home from school; we commute that day because my husband drove the van. There were students in the bus talking about their dream job, one of the girls said; she wants to become a lawyer. The guy said he wants to become a nurse, while the other girl said she wants to become an IT technician and database designer. I was impressed with those students because they have goals in life and they’re probably doing well in school. I thought about the girl who wants to become a database designer, I’m sure whenever she achieved her dream it won’t be hard for her to get the Database Designer Jobs because professions that has something to do with information technology is highly in-demand these days. I heard they get good paychecks!

Planning for my future career

I’ve been unemployed for years now, it’s not that I didn’t want to work but I had to take care of my little children and that prevents me from getting a secular job. I was thinking that working in medical facilities like hospitals would be a good future career for me. I’ve already asked some few friends who works in the hospital for some tips and information on how to earn a job in their field. Some of them have told me that I need to get a medical certificate to be able to work in the hospitals which means I need to go back to school. I need to learn the basics like policy management and hospital policies as well as the patient’s rights.

I’m not really planning to become a nurse; I want to work in the billing department, receptionist or any administrative jobs in the hospital. I know that I can get policy software online if I want to, but I have to inquire for more information and details about the kind of jobs that won’t require me to go back to school. I can’t afford to go back to school now-a-days because we don’t have enough income to pay for babysitter and I have a toddler and a kindergarten which is difficult for me to work on my “already conflict schedule”.

Thinking about my future career

Getting a good education simply means having a bright future with your career. I always thought about enrolling in a higher degree course because I know that upgrading my education (WaldenU.edu) will give me hopes of getting a good paying job in the future. I know that some of my online pals are going back to school and I am so proud of them because they are willing to work hard for the betterment of their future career. I’ve been thinking about going back to school, but I just don’t know what to do, where and how to start. And besides having two minor children is also a factor for my hesitation to go back to school.

Once in a while I read online about Programs by Career through the Walden University online because I heard so much good things about them. Basically, I read the article where students share their experience with the University that they were in and the courses that they were taking. It’s encouraging to hear from people who have actually graduated in an online school. I know that one day I will fulfill my dreams to go back to school, it might not be now but I’m positive that it will happen someday.

She’s got it

I just found out that one of my former college friends opened her own boutique and manage it herself. I knew she wanted to be part of the management jobs because she always tells me before that she wants to become a manager someday, little that we know that she’s not only becoming a manger but she will have her own business too. I’m glad that she was able to fulfill her dream job. She recently got married to a Singaporean and she’s been to many places now. I enjoyed viewing her shared photos. I’m so happy for her. I guess the only dream that she never accomplish yet is to become a mother. I’m sure she’s working on it by now.

Future job

I’d like to wear scrubs uniforms someday. When my son had his first dental appointment I found out that one of the sisters in our congregation works in the front desk. I asked her how long has she been working there and how did she get the job. I asked her if she went to a medical school for her to be able to work in that clinic and she said “NO”. According to her that she just submitted her job application and she was hired. She got me thinking. I thought to myself, why not try to submit a resume and apply as a front desk receptionist in any medical facilities here in our place. I would love to work in a clinic or offices as a receptionist.
