Drive-in Theater

Have you tried drive-in theater yet? How did you like it? We’ve been living in this neighborhood for nearly 7 years now but we haven’t experienced to watch movies through drive-in theaters yet until last night. We watched THE CROODS, the second movie was G.I Joe but we left before it started because it was already late at night and my son has to go to school the following day. It was drizzling too and the husband had to turn on the car often to wipe and dry the windshield off from raindrops. I enjoyed it though. Of course the screen wont be as bright and clear as in the movie house but the sound was loud and clear. They had us tuned in to a specific radio station to be able to hear the sound of the movie. What’s great about drive-in theater is that we can bring our own food, lounge chair and it’s very affordable too. $7 for each adult and ages 5-9 is $1, ages 5 below is free. We get to watch two movies per ticket too. Cool huh? I love this place and I can’t wait to go back and watch more movies.

Music gives meaning to our lives

Music and the technology to make it have come a long way from the early days. Nowadays, you can find practically any kind of music that fancies your ear. There are new recording companies starting up all the time, which brings out new kinds of music. Some of the stuff I’ve heard in the last decade really surprises me that a company would make a record label for it. Also new are the instruments to make this music. I’m used to hearing instrument like guitars, drums, pianos, banjos, flutes, bagpipes and stuff like that but computers have slowly worked their way into the music industry. Things like Midi controllers, Midi foot controller, Midi event processor plus, keyboard controller are used to process music and give you more flexibility in controlling sound. These are instruments used for DJing, Rapping, performing live or working in a studio. One of the most popular instruments used these days is the Novation Launchpad, a dedicated controller for Ableton Live software. It’s USB powered, has a multi-color 64-button grid, control modes for the session view and lives’ mixer, two fully programmable user modes and a dedicated scene-launch/function buttons.

Off to Downtown San Diego

It was a boring Sunday afternoon when we decided to go wander around Seaport Village and Midway area. We just walked and take some pictures. It was breezy late afternoon and cold because we were right on the bay. We stopped by at the popular statue here in San Diego, took some pictures with the kids and head to the car to put my purse because it was getting heavy carrying it with me. And walked to seaport village, entered to some of the gift shops store and had our kids ride on the carousel. I think we were there for a couple of hours and walked back towards our van. It was already 9pm when we went home and most of the shops are closing already. We ended our night with satisfaction because it was nice to see something refreshing aside from the four corners of our home. LOL!

Newest playground

We went to the Plaza Bonita mall yesterday just to wander around. The kids played in the indoor playground while I was getting my massage done. I also let my son ride in a train alone since his little sissy can’t go if unattended with adult. I can’t go with them in the train ride because I was not feeling well and I don’t want to pay $10.50 for the 3 of us, I don’t think it’s worth it. Anyway, when my son came back from the ride he excitingly told us that he saw a huge fish tank with fishes and sharks and dolphins. We were wondering what he was talking about. Out of our curiosity we gave him the lead to take us in the area and sure enough there was a new playground with a huge fish tank near it. We stayed there for 30 minutes and had them play around. They had fun of course and don’t want to go home anymore. We will have to go back there whenever we can.

Beach in the Philippines

We live nearby the beach here in San Diego but we never really swim in the ocean because its cold and the currents are too dangerous for the kids. It was actually their first time to swim in the ocean when we went to the Philippines. They loved it and couldn’t get enough of it. The water was calm and warm, which was great for everyone. My family had a great time because everyone was there and we got to enjoy each other’s company. It was also the very first time for our children (cousins) to be together since they were all born.

Anaheim, CA

If you visit the Universal Studios Hollywood you will see this beautiful and breathtaking sight while you’re heading to the lower level of the park. It’s nice to see something far and I don’t get the chance to view something like this since I live in a city where houses are close to each other. Watching this beautiful scenery was like a therapy to my eyes and it feels good. If you think it looks beautiful just by watching through my photos, how much more if you see this place in person. I highly recommend you to stop by at this area when you happened to visit Universal Studios Hollywood.

So, our tickets from all the theme parks we went to last year were already expired. We haven’t bought new tickets from any theme parks yet. Although our zoo and safari tickets are still valid until February but we rarely go there because there’s not a lot of interesting things to do in there except for watching those animals and most of the time they were sleeping because it’s daylight. It gets boring already. So anyway, this was the last time we visited U.S.H. and we will surely miss this park. My husband and I thought that we have to wait for another year to go back there because we pretty much visited everything in the park and it’s getting boring already. If not because of our kids we won’t be getting the year-pass tickets. Anyway, we have a lot of wonderful memories in this park and we have a lot of pictures too to look at to bring back memories.

Lots of poinsettia

This picture was taken at the center garden found at the Disneyland main street.  I had my son stand next to it so I can take a picture of him. These flowers were gorgeous and it look so healthy very vibrant in color. It wasn’t there the last time we toured Disneyland, I think they planted it as the holiday was approaching. A lot of people were there at the time and they were excited just like us to watch the parade and take the rides. I’ve been to Disneyland for several times already but for some reason I still get excited each time we go there. I think that partly because of my kids seeing them so happy and thrilled is contagious. We will go back there sometime next week.

Pixar parade

At the California Adventure, they also have a parade and it’s called Pixar parade where Monster Inc. Bugs movies, Disney Cars characters, Nemo, and the Cast of the Lightning Buzz, Woody from the Toy Story movies are seen. It’s fun to watch them and everyone from adults to kids were having fun watching them and taking pictures of them at the parade. Well, honestly speaking parade is one of the best attractions either at the Disneyland or California Adventure and of course the water show and the fireworks show as well.

A Perfect Choice for a Friend

As I was watching then on a short acoustic movie clip, I suddenly remember a friend of mine who use to play her electric guitar when we were still n college. I am thinking if she is still into it until now since I want really wanted to give her a present during my next hometown visit. Do you think she will like a new electric guitar? Well, I am actually checking out the best selling strumming instrument now and I found this top les paul guitar that has a lot of selection to choose from. I guess this will be my first choice for her.
