While I was writing this article I over heard our neighbor’s conversation, they were outside in the hallway. They were talking about alec bradley, I was wondering what it is and who that guy they were talking about because they sounded like they were so interested to it. I thought he’s an actor of some kind so I look it up online and found out it’s a cigar. I laughed at myself because all I thought they were talking about actors but little did I know they meant something else. Oh well! It’s good to know thought at least I wont be as innocent when I hear someone talks about it again next time.

Kids collection
My kids love to collect coins and every time we go somewhere they always find coins and they put it in our piggy bank. How I wish that someday they’d find valuable coins that can be invested in the future. It would be nice if they found a couple of collectible coins huh? Anyway, speaking of coins, I watched on the local news last night and a little boy got a surprised and his wishes came true because his dad who was deployed to Afghanistan came home to spend time with them this holiday and he said that every time his dad comes home from wherever he’s at he always get him coins and he even showed us the coin his dad got him for. It was emotional because he didn’t expect his dad would be home and his wishes will come true.

When I heard about the brand-new alternative to smoking which is ecigarette, I kinda got curious about it. Not because I smoke, it is against my faith, but since some of my relatives and friends are smokers, the thought of it could help them quit the habit or at least a find a healthier alternative. Accordingly this modern day electric cigarettes, for instance BluCigs uses a battery and the cartridges comes in many flavors. That it has no nicotine, tar, no ash and no smell. It may have its own advantages but the fact that it’s not approved by the FDA yet, well it could also present consequences. It is also not easy to obtain them in some locations, in most cases you need to purchase them over the internet using a credit card. That’s something you really want to think over right?
Many smokers know that smoking is bad to the health and likes to break free from the addiction. But it’s not an easy fight and many, though serious and determined will still have relapses. I just hope they’ll realize that health is more important and that their family is also affected if they’re hooked to smoking.
Keepsake
What is the perfect giveaway that my son can give to his friends at school? The first thing that comes to mind is the yoyo, I don’t know why but that’s what I thought would be a cool thing for giveaways. I know yoyofactory has something that I think my son and his classmates would love. I can actually order custom yo-yos, maybe a picture of my son in it or their class photos will do. I bet they’re going to love it and be fascinated with it. It’s just a cool thought.
Horse back riding
I’ve never ride on a horse in my entire life yet, but if given the chance, I will no doubt do it. It must be exciting to ride and give a command to a horse. I have a very good friend who lives in Minnesota and she recently shared some photos on her Facebook, they went for her a horse back riding adventure with her husband. She said that they went to the wood side of Brainerd, Pillsbury Minnesota and explored the area. The photo above shows how the trails look like where they took for rides. I think those people ahead of them were also tourists and they were all required put on their horse riding helmets for safety reasons. I hope someday in the near future I can go for a horse back riding with my spouse too. That would be exciting and romantic!
Rules is rules
Majority of our neighbors are smokers and I think we’re the only tenant here in our complex who doesn’t smoke. So, whenever the manager sees some cigarette butts and empty packs of cigar downstairs or in the hallway, he never blame us from that because he knows that none of us smokes. Anyway, I was emptying our trash container this morning and I saw some empty pack of Acid cigars all over the ground where the dumpster was situated. I thought it was definitely from one of the tenants here in our complex. I didn’t want to pick them up because it wasn’t my trash and hopefully whoever tossed those empty packs downstairs will realize that keeping our place clean and in order are few of the rules implemented by the manager of these apartments.
My Favorite Book

My favorite book is The Black Stallion by Walter Farley. I read this book when I was a child and this book, along with the complete follow-up series has remained one of my top favorite reads over decades. Interesting, engaging, and filled with action-packed adventure, The Black Stallion is a wonderful read that both kids and adults can enjoy.
In the beginning of the book, the main character, Alex Ramsey, is a young boy who is in a ship wreck. Also on the ship is a wild black stallion from the Arabian Desert. Though he is a wild and untamed stallion and the boy is young and unfamiliar with horses, they are the only two creatures on the island other than venomous snakes and other wild habitat. The boy and horse form a bond that is unbreakable and Alex begins spending his days riding the thrillingly fast stallion over the beaches of the island.
Once they are rescued, after several weeks spent stranded together, the boy takes the horse back to the United States with him where he meets a professional race horse trainer. Demonstrating incomparable speed, The Black, as the horse is known, is set to race against the nation’s leading Thoroughbreds in a match race. I have found that though I enjoy watching Direct.TV when I am not reading, that this books is a favorite of my collection.
A day at carlsbad flower fields
My husband took me and our son to the Carlsbad flowers fields last year and it was just breathtaking to see field after field of different colored flowers all lined up and the fresh air. We got to see many different kinds of flowers and to share in this southern California attraction which is so popular to tourist. I took our camera to make sure we got plenty of pictures to send back to the Philippines. We also got some time to visit the Carlsbad mining company to find out how settlers in the old day mined for gold and precious metals. You can buy a bucket of sand and they will show you how to sift the sand to reveal the buckets contents. My son had fun doing it and finding the pretty rocks in the sand but i told my wife that the rocks are polished like that with rock tumblers before they add them to the sand so they look all nice and prepared before would-be adventurers will discover them. Pretty neat huh.
Weston Taylor Collection
I was looking at Weston Taylor Collections and memorabilia; I find it so interesting to see that he owns all kinds of CD’s from many famous artists. What I really enjoyed viewing are the collections from Mariah Carey, Witney Houston, and Celine Dion. I love these singer artist a lot. Many of their songs, I am familiar with and I love singing along with them. I think I will purchase one of their CD for keepsake. Oh, I have to ask my former supervisor if she wants one too because she’s a big fan of Witney Houston. I might get her one, one of these days and send it together with the box that I am going to send for my family back home in the Philippines.

Asking for a cap again?
My youngest brother is kind of bald and he always wear cap wherever he may go. Every time I tell them that I will be sending package (Balikbayad box), he would always asked me to purchase him a nice new cap. I don’t know why he can’t go anywhere without wearing them. He said that he’s shy because of his baldness head. Last month I send 2 boxes full of stuff and goodies; I also put 5 caps and that will be given to my brother, my father and my brother in law. After they received the boxes they said that they were all happy and thanking me for being a thoughtful sister and daughter. I want my family to be happy with what I gave them and I’m glad they are enjoying those little something.
