Last Sunday we went to the park. Our congregation was gathered together for a BBQ party and it was enjoyable moment because it’s been awhile since we had this kind of get together. The park was nice and the playground was newly remodeled too. The sand is so fine that the kids had fun walking on it and playing with it. It was also a warm day and perfect for grilling. It was a nice gathering and we can’t wait to do it again.

Mountain Hawk Park
The other day was the hottest day in San Diego; we took advantage of the day by taking our kids to the water park at Otay Ranch. They have this park where kids can play with waters and there’s no entrance fee whatsoever so I thought might as well take the kids over there instead of going to a place where we have to pay just to play in the water. This is the best place for kids because they have nice playground too, unfortunately it get too warm in this place. It was 93 degree F and the breeze was warm too, good thing it wasn’t that humid but it was enough to get sunburn. My kids had fun though and that’s what matters most.
Teen tours
Do you have teenagers? I bet they are excited and are looking forward to their summer getaway for 2013 huh? Well, I know how hard it can be to have a teenager and I’m sure your teenager would want to spend some time with their friends and hang out with them this summer. Have your heard of this summer programs for teens where teens can get the chance to interact with nature. There are website out there that offers this kind of teen tours at a very affordable price. There are few places mentioned at this website I stumbled upon – New England, Colorado and West Indies were some of the places that are surely fun for teenagers. They can water raft, water ski, snowboard, and there are entertaining amusement parks and of course ladies can do their shopping in these places too. While enjoying and exploring these places, don’t forget to eat their famous food.
Parents might be worried about the price and expenses for these tours and walked out but guess what? Tipsontopsandcams.com website offers the best price/package deal for teen tours ever. I recommend YOU to go to their website and check it yourself. These places can be traveled by land such as van and bus or boat if you want.
Off to Downtown San Diego
It was a boring Sunday afternoon when we decided to go wander around Seaport Village and Midway area. We just walked and take some pictures. It was breezy late afternoon and cold because we were right on the bay. We stopped by at the popular statue here in San Diego, took some pictures with the kids and head to the car to put my purse because it was getting heavy carrying it with me. And walked to seaport village, entered to some of the gift shops store and had our kids ride on the carousel. I think we were there for a couple of hours and walked back towards our van. It was already 9pm when we went home and most of the shops are closing already. We ended our night with satisfaction because it was nice to see something refreshing aside from the four corners of our home. LOL!
Stroll around the neighborhood
My husband phoned me at the time and asked me what and how are we doing. I told him I’m doing my thing and the kids are bored. He convinced me to take the kids downstairs and have them ride with their bikes because according to him we need to get out of the house and get some fresh air. He was right, I need to get my butt off the chair and stop working online. My kids were excited when I told them we go downstairs. The plan was just play downstairs in the garage but then I told them we could go for a walk around the block. I was hesitant at first because I was only wearing my house slippers, I thought who cares if I wear my cozy and floppy slippers. So long as I’m comfortable I don’t have to worry about other people’s opinion.
Newest playground
We went to the Plaza Bonita mall yesterday just to wander around. The kids played in the indoor playground while I was getting my massage done. I also let my son ride in a train alone since his little sissy can’t go if unattended with adult. I can’t go with them in the train ride because I was not feeling well and I don’t want to pay $10.50 for the 3 of us, I don’t think it’s worth it. Anyway, when my son came back from the ride he excitingly told us that he saw a huge fish tank with fishes and sharks and dolphins. We were wondering what he was talking about. Out of our curiosity we gave him the lead to take us in the area and sure enough there was a new playground with a huge fish tank near it. We stayed there for 30 minutes and had them play around. They had fun of course and don’t want to go home anymore. We will have to go back there whenever we can.
Beach in the Philippines
We live nearby the beach here in San Diego but we never really swim in the ocean because its cold and the currents are too dangerous for the kids. It was actually their first time to swim in the ocean when we went to the Philippines. They loved it and couldn’t get enough of it. The water was calm and warm, which was great for everyone. My family had a great time because everyone was there and we got to enjoy each other’s company. It was also the very first time for our children (cousins) to be together since they were all born.
Beach after Gym
It was good to sweat today. We went to the gym and worked-out for 2 hours. I had my zumba class, though I was late but it was still good enough dancing for me. I did body solid machines too, doing muscle stretching and stuff like that. Anyway, for the last few days our kids had been bugging us to take them to the beach and since today was a gorgeous day we took advantage of it. We will have wet few days to come and we want our kids to enjoy the sunny weather today so we drove to the beach after our gym workout. We stayed there for a few hours, they had all kinds of energy and my husband and I were already exhausted from our workout and staying there makes us even more tiring. Oh well, for the sake of our kids we’ll do it.
Anaheim, CA
If you visit the Universal Studios Hollywood you will see this beautiful and breathtaking sight while you’re heading to the lower level of the park. It’s nice to see something far and I don’t get the chance to view something like this since I live in a city where houses are close to each other. Watching this beautiful scenery was like a therapy to my eyes and it feels good. If you think it looks beautiful just by watching through my photos, how much more if you see this place in person. I highly recommend you to stop by at this area when you happened to visit Universal Studios Hollywood.
