Our 15 minutes fame. LOL!

So, we watched the Special Effects at the Studio 50 at Universal Studios Hollywood and we we’re called to volunteer at the show. We we’re there 10 minutes before the show starts and there weren’t many people yet inside, they were looking for 4 members in a family, a mom & dad and two children. Husband raised his hand and we we’re asked to go to the front seat. They gave us forms to fill-up (don’t know what was that for) and we waited for our turn to be on the stage. It was really cool and I ignored how the crowds looked like. I thought to myself, no one knows me anyway, so let’s do it. LOL!

We were asked to go up on the boat and the director gave us instructions on what to do. I heard him saying pretend like you are looking what’s ahead of us and we we’re bitten by mosquitos. Then we we’re told to look like we’re scared and panicking because there we’re giant octopus attacking us. You might not see it on the stage but on the right screen, that’s where the special effects come out where it shows that the Octopus attacked us. (All I can hear were laughs from the audiences)…. “Nahimo tawon mig uto2x kadyot kay sunud2x sa gisulti sa director” hehheheheh.

The next scenes below, we were instructed to walk-in-place and feeling hot and humid. Then we heard a loud voice that’s coming from behind us. We were told to look behind while hugging at each other. There’s nothing really behind us except for this huge green wall and that’s what they normally use for special effects. When you look at the right screen, you will see a dinosaur behind us, we we’re chased by it and we had to ran for our lives (we ran towards our seats). And that’s how the end of our show. LOL! It was a fun experienced that we will never forget.

Our 2012 Disneyland tour

 Last year 2011, we had an unplanned Disneyland tour. My husband took 2 days off from work and we headed Los Angeles to spend a day or two wandering around Hollywood blvd, while being there, my husband decided to purchase disneyland tickets for one day. We had so much fun and it was a dream comes true for me because when I was still in the Philippines, I never stop dreaming and believing that someday I’ll be able to visit Disneyland. I am thankful to my husband because he made all my dreams come true. Nothing is really impossible, everything is achievable, and we just have to continue on dreaming big and do something about it.

Anyway, we went back last February 2012 and toured to both parks (Disney Resort & California Adventure), we still couldn’t get enough of it. What I love about Disneyland is the “Sensational Parade” where I can see most of the Disney characters that I am familiar with since I was a little girl and the Fireworks Displays. It almost felt like I was a little child again, I even forgot about my children because I was too excited cheering for every princesses I seen at the parade. I couldn’t help myself but to become like a child again whenever I’m at the Disneyland. LOL! It may sound corny but that’s exactly how I felt. I can’t wait to go back there again. Well, we surely will because we bought an annual pass for Disneyland this year. So, we can pretty much go back whenever we want to.

Where did you spend your spring break vacation? Many of my friends told me that their children didn’t really enjoy their spring break because according to them 2 weeks of vacation weren’t that enough. I kind of agreed to my friend’s children because I have a student too and as soon as I told him that he is going back to school soon, he frowned and complained. Flower Fields

It’s only been my second time to visit into this place. The first time I went there was 4 years ago and my son was only 18 months old then. I didn’t have a nice camera either at the time. Now that I got hooked into photography, I ask my husband if we can go back there and without hesitation he said “sure”. Anyway, it was really nice. Though the weather weren’t really perfect during our trip but I still love it. This field is only open for 2 and a half months in a year and that’s between April to May because during those months flowers are bloomed. Flowers are breathtaking, it was overwhelming to be surrounded by all kinds of it and we all love it.

I’ve been so busy lately and I was trying to complete my time in the ministry for this month. I thought, why not give ourselves some precious time as a family and go to a place where we all can enjoy and forget about reality even for half-a-day only. So, we decided to visit the Flower Farm… It was gorgeous and it did refresh our brain and spirit because we were able to see wonderful creation of God. Flowers are so wonderful and I took advantage of that opportunity to photograph. I will share my pix later and for now, this will be my first photo sharing from our Flower Field Trip yesterday. More to come :D

Hollywood celebrity homes tour

These were just few of the houses we’ve toured while we were at the Hollywood for a short vacation. We’ve also seen houses of the following celebrities Cameron Dias, Sandra Bullock, Katie Perry, Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes, Christina Aguilera, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Robert Wagner, Simon Cowell, Lary King, Jennifer Aniston’s best friend’s house and I can’t remember the rest. I couldn’t take a picture of them because their houses where all behind tall bushes. The tour was 2 hours long and it was a little bit scary because of the speed, it was like 60 mph going up to the hill and curve streets. We were like flying and I can barely write on the names of the celebrities’ home we had visited. We also toured at the Rodeo Drive and seen all kinds of brand names products like Hermes, Prada, Michael Kors, Gucci, Ralph Lauren, Guess, Chanel, Valentino, Fendi, Coach, Dolce & Gabbana, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Stefano Ricci and etc… We paid $100 for the tour including the tip, and I must say it was worth the tour, because we wont know that those restaurants and homes along the Hollywood blvd that we always passed by were celebrity’s home until after we’re told by the trourist guide. We also had seen some of the shows from the Reality TV shows like; LA ink and Car Repo. Anyways, we’ve seen and learned a lot within two hours tour. At the end of the tour, I asked the lady driver why she drive so fast, she simply told me “that’s what you can survival and I was able to bring you back on time”. We were just laughing.

A couple took advantage of the all inclusive vacation caribbean to spend some quality time with each other. This couple is popular in the Philippines for they are few of the top celebrities over there. I don’t understand why some couple doesn’t want to reveal their true status whether they’re committed to each other/dating or they’re just hanging out like friends do. But I think it’s very obvious that there is something deep between them because why would they go travel alone, and some would say that they were seen together most of the time? Well, it’s none of my business anyway. It’s their life and they are entitled to do whatever they want. If that what makes them happy, so be it. People, including media should be happy for them instead of intriguing them with all kinds of publicity. Well, all I can say is have fun guys and I’m sure they’ll have a blast at their Caribbean tour. Good luck!
