Teen tours

Do you have teenagers? I bet they are excited and are looking forward to their summer getaway for 2013 huh? Well, I know how hard it can be to have a teenager and I’m sure your teenager would want to spend some time with their friends and hang out with them this summer. Have your heard of this summer programs for teens where teens can get the chance to interact with nature. There are website out there that offers this kind of teen tours at a very affordable price. There are few places mentioned at this website I stumbled upon – New England, Colorado and West Indies were some of the places that are surely fun for teenagers. They can water raft, water ski, snowboard, and there are entertaining amusement parks and of course ladies can do their shopping in these places too. While enjoying and exploring these places, don’t forget to eat their famous food.

Parents might be worried about the price and expenses for these tours and walked out but guess what? Tipsontopsandcams.com website offers the best price/package deal for teen tours ever. I recommend YOU to go to their website and check it yourself. These places can be traveled by land such as van and bus or boat if you want.

Beach in the Philippines

We live nearby the beach here in San Diego but we never really swim in the ocean because its cold and the currents are too dangerous for the kids. It was actually their first time to swim in the ocean when we went to the Philippines. They loved it and couldn’t get enough of it. The water was calm and warm, which was great for everyone. My family had a great time because everyone was there and we got to enjoy each other’s company. It was also the very first time for our children (cousins) to be together since they were all born.

If you visit the Universal Studios Hollywood you will see this beautiful and breathtaking sight while you’re heading to the lower level of the park. It’s nice to see something far and I don’t get the chance to view something like this since I live in a city where houses are close to each other. Watching this beautiful scenery was like a therapy to my eyes and it feels good. If you think it looks beautiful just by watching through my photos, how much more if you see this place in person. I highly recommend you to stop by at this area when you happened to visit Universal Studios Hollywood.

Bye Universal Studios Hollywood

So, our tickets from all the theme parks we went to last year were already expired. We haven’t bought new tickets from any theme parks yet. Although our zoo and safari tickets are still valid until February but we rarely go there because there’s not a lot of interesting things to do in there except for watching those animals and most of the time they were sleeping because it’s daylight. It gets boring already. So anyway, this was the last time we visited U.S.H. and we will surely miss this park. My husband and I thought that we have to wait for another year to go back there because we pretty much visited everything in the park and it’s getting boring already. If not because of our kids we won’t be getting the year-pass tickets. Anyway, we have a lot of wonderful memories in this park and we have a lot of pictures too to look at to bring back memories.

Our 15 minutes fame. LOL!

So, we watched the Special Effects at the Studio 50 at Universal Studios Hollywood and we we’re called to volunteer at the show. We we’re there 10 minutes before the show starts and there weren’t many people yet inside, they were looking for 4 members in a family, a mom & dad and two children. Husband raised his hand and we we’re asked to go to the front seat. They gave us forms to fill-up (don’t know what was that for) and we waited for our turn to be on the stage. It was really cool and I ignored how the crowds looked like. I thought to myself, no one knows me anyway, so let’s do it. LOL!

We were asked to go up on the boat and the director gave us instructions on what to do. I heard him saying pretend like you are looking what’s ahead of us and we we’re bitten by mosquitos. Then we we’re told to look like we’re scared and panicking because there we’re giant octopus attacking us. You might not see it on the stage but on the right screen, that’s where the special effects come out where it shows that the Octopus attacked us. (All I can hear were laughs from the audiences)…. “Nahimo tawon mig uto2x kadyot kay sunud2x sa gisulti sa director” hehheheheh.

The next scenes below, we were instructed to walk-in-place and feeling hot and humid. Then we heard a loud voice that’s coming from behind us. We were told to look behind while hugging at each other. There’s nothing really behind us except for this huge green wall and that’s what they normally use for special effects. When you look at the right screen, you will see a dinosaur behind us, we we’re chased by it and we had to ran for our lives (we ran towards our seats). And that’s how the end of our show. LOL! It was a fun experienced that we will never forget.

Downtown San Diego

We came from my Doctor’s appointment for ultrasound at Mission Valley that day and my husband took us for a joyride right after we got out from the Hospital. I was wondering why he made a turn heading to freeway 5 south and took the busiest rode instead of exiting to the freeway heading home. He said he wants to just drive around for scenic view. That’s my husband; he loves to wander around the city. I took advantage of it and I was taking pictures of the building. There are many tall buildings here in San Diego when you are in the downtown area. This is a very busy streets and everything is pretty much walking distance from one business to the other. Fancy restaurants are everywhere; we’ve never tried any of them because we know it’ll choke us when we get and see our bill. LOL! It’s just fun to drive around here and see many people crossing the one-way streets. I don’t think I can drive here because majority of the streets here are too confusing for me and they’re all one-way streets. Anyway, it was a fun joyride though.

NBC building is where our local TV news are filmed, to the right is the Horton Plaza Mall.

You will see this tall building at the Embarcadero street. And next to it is the train station that goes to LA.

Inside the Hotel Del Coronado

An inside peek of the hotel

indoor shopping center

hotel’s lobby

It is fancy. Isn’t it? You should come by and check this hotel out. They have informations of the hotels history including the celebrities who filmed in here way back then. You will surely love it here. You are not only enjoying the amenities but you will also love the front view which is the beautiful sandy beach. I love the sand in the beach here, they are so fine and nothing will ever poke your barefoot feet.

Hotel Del Coronado

This is one place that you shouldn’t missed when visiting San Diego. This is like 5 minutes drive from our location, we rarely go to this place because most of the parking has a meter and usually it’s full. It’s not that we don’t want to pay the meter machine; it’s just that we tried to avoid it when we can park in a free parking space where the residential areas are. It’s beautiful here and a lot of tourists. The streets has all kinds of shopping boutiques and foods are everywhere from Mexican to Italian restaurants. They’re expensive though, we bought a small bottle of soda and a small bag of potato chips, you know how much it cost us? $7 just for that. If you are thirsty and you want to buy a cold bottled water, you’ll pay $5 for that. If you want to park right in the Hotel’s parking lot, I believe the minimum-parking fee is $27 per hour, that’s how expensive it is here. This is one of the oldest hotels here in San Diego and there were several movies that were filled in this hotel way back then. Fancy Hotel!

a lot of beach goers at the time, refreshing from the hot weather.
